What is School Gateway?
School Gateway is the parent portal (app and website) that provides a single point of contact that allows parents to receive messages, view payment requests, and view balances from the school and react to those notifications free of charge. Encouraging parents to download the app allows you to communicate more efficiently and directly whilst allowing parents to have the ability to communicate back to school.
Steps to getting started…
1. How to make parents aware of School Gateway
Within this pack you will find ready-made information that you can share with parents in order to make them aware of School Gateway.
- Note: School Gateway app is optimised for smartphone use, but can also be accessed on a tablet.
2. Activating accounts
Most parents can set themselves up with a School Gateway account without any help from their school. Simply follow the 3 step set up guide. Activate your School Gateway account. It’s quick and easy to do. All you need are your email address and mobile number that school holds on record for you.
3. Download the app:
If you have a smartphone/tablet, please download School Gateway from your app store (Android and iPhone). The app shows the same information as the website PLUS it saves the school money when we send you a text message.
OR
Visit the website: www.schoolgateway.com and click on ‘New User’. You’ll receive a text mes-sage with a PIN number. Use this PIN to log into School Gateway.
If you’re having trouble logging in, it may be because the school doesn’t have your current email and mobile phone number on record. Please call the school and we’ll update the details on our system.
Make online payments to school via instant bank transfer, credit or debit card
Use School Gateway to make online payments with a debit or credit card any time 24-7, via smartphone app or website. Plus, you can give online consent where required, for your child to take part in school trips and other activities.
To make things easy, we notify parents of new items for payment by text or email.
Aside from saving the school time and money on administration, School Gateway also makes paying for school items easier and more flexible for parents and reduces the amount of cash being carried by children on school premises. We would encourage you to use it as part of our move towards becoming a cashless school.
PLEASE NOTE THIS ONLINE SYSTEM IS NOT FOR MAKING PAYMENTS FOR SCHOOL MEALS
